Voodoo DesignWorks was conceived in 2004 by Tony Baxter and Julian Dobson. The vision was to create a company that would deliver signage solutions driven by a strong background in graphic design. Both Tony and Julian have been involved in the sign and graphic design industry for over 20 years each. It is for this reason that today, Voodoo are one of only a very few sign companies that employ a team of fully qualified graphic designers alongside our skilled in-house fabricators and engineers.

Voodoo’s sharp awareness of brand and design importance has attracted a diverse client portfolio. These range from small companies to large multi-nationals. All looking for something over and above the manufacturing element they would expect from a regular sign company. But it is the retail sector from which we have found special focus and a natural fit for our capabilities, where an understanding of branding and design is of paramount importance. It is the eye for detail in every element from the design and manufacture through to installation that has attracted high profile clients such as Tommy Hilfiger and Austin Reed.

Alongside the portfolio of individual retailers, Voodoo is responsible for the branding, design and signage for a number of Shopping Centres. One of these is the Gloucester Quays Development, where we were responsible for the entire signage programme for all retailers. We continue to be involved with the branding and design for these centres to this day.
